Mary Reed spoke about trip to 3 Rivers Bee Club
Ray Politte talked about record keeping and had handout.
Pres Hitchings asked members about Hive Tracks, a method of keeping track of hives and activity.
Bill Bennett gave a presentation of the PBA new website that is up and running.
Reading of Minutes, motion to accept by Jerry Sullivan, 2nd by S Toppings approved Report on the Flow hive: as expected it has met with many problems and it not being recommended by ethical beekeepers.
Swarm List to be posted on the PBA web site.
R Politte made a motion to reimburse Bill Bennett for the cost of the annual web site, 2nd by S Sturdevant. Motion accepted.
Pres Hitchings spoke of using nucs and of the problem of American Foul Brood, losing hives coming out of winter. Wild swarms only 1 in 6 survive without help. Watch for wax moths, be sure to protect the comb.
Watch for starvation in the hives, bees will be high in the hive and centered and dry, dont use all dead out frames in new hives be sure to mix them in with new foundation.
