May 19, 2015 Meeting Minutes-Larry Moses, PBA Secretary
Officers meeting-6:00 pm
Motion by L Moses to repay G Hitchings for the cost of hives and bees that were established for the Parkland beekeepers association. Total 622.76, 2nd R Polite. Approved
Motion to reimburse G Hitchings for the cost of a banner for the Parkland Beekeepers association 49.58, 2nd Mark Reed. Approved
Discussed plans for the Meeting/dinner on June 16,2015 Association buys the meat, drinks and paper products, will attempt to have a drone/queen marking demonstration, possibly getting into our hives prior to meeting, and M Reed will give a demonstration.
Membership meeting opened at 7:03 pm 25 in attendance
Pres Hitchings called meeting to order and spoke of the minutes of previous meeting how they will be handled in future. Posting prior to regular meeting and sent in his newsletter. S Toppings motion to approve minutes and 2nd by J Johnson. Approved
Treasures report
Balance 2944.33 with a check for $50.00 and outstanding bills of622.76 and 49.58
Next meeting will be the dinner/picnic on June 16 at the North Campus center. Each member asked to bring something as determined by last name, will be in the newsletter. Activities at 4;00 pm and food and demonstration by M Reed at 6:00 pm, followed by a very brief meeting.
Pres Hitchings talked about winter loss, at 42% for the previous winter
New bill in Mo Legislature passed on last day. Main part of the bill is that sellers of honey or $50,000 or less shall not be required to construct separate bottling area....... Shall maintain record of sales
Matti Yarbrough will do the scrapbooking for the association
